This is my very first article about the best places to visit in Second Life and what would be an appropriate post I thought if not one which is about a nude beach. A warning first; there are nudity in the pictures you’re about to see but lucky for you (if you hate nudity) and me (although an avatar, she does represent me), I have pasted some strategically placed black bar over certain areas of my avatar. Yes she is anatomically correct but if you really must know, you have to get into Second Life to see for yourself. That is look at your own naked self.
Why a nude beach? One of the selling points of Second Life for me is the sight and the sound. These days I could hardly sleep without the sound of waves playing on my stereo speaker and since I don’t live near a beach nor do I own a beach house, Second Life is as close as to being in one. And I must admit, nude beach does mean your avatar must be nude or at least wearing a swimsuit, this place I am going to introduce to you wrote in big red letters at the entrance to the beach that nudity is a must. So what more can a law abiding citizen such as I to do? More so when my avatar does have a killer body but modestly endowed, so with one click and she is off with all clothes except for some jewelery and a pair of golden slippers. Second Life gives the freedom to do things normally in real life I would never dare nor dream to do, and walking around totally naked and unhibited is one of those things.
Now this is an adult content area therefore beware of those who solicits you for activities other than beach related good clean fun.
Anyway, once you get there, you will teleport and materialise in a hut where you will find free trunks and bikinis for those who are not accustomed to nudity. The qualities are quite good too. But in that hut also you will notice several notices, amongst which the rule of the beach is total nudity or swimsuit related.

However once you step out of the hut, you will notice yes most avatars are naked or skimpily dressed but there are those fully clothed. I decided to follow the rule and so I stripped my avatar of clothes and my god, it was liberating. Moreover nobody cares if you’re thin naked or fat naked. And it doesn’t hurt to show off my avatar’s toned body.
Anyway in front of the hut I found a huge dance floor for various dances, tango, slow dance, etc. It looks a bit hectic at first but it’s quite fun when you see others dancing away in their thongs. That didn’t interest me when I heard the waves.

The beach is located to the left of the hut. It’s not big but there are adequate sits for single persons relaxing or sunbathing. But I also found couple’s sits as well as floating floats where you can read, lounge as a couple or even daydream by lying lazily on the sides, your hands gently dipping into the sea. There are even fishes in the sea, although not much. The waves are calming and I just love the tranquility of the surroundings, especially the many activities for singles and couples. What I did notice first was the white sandy beaches. The texture, the effects all looked so real, like as if I have stepped onto a real beach.

What I didn’t realise was how big this place was.
Walking further up I found a huge cave, surrounded by a massive and beautiful waterfall. However if you’re not into adult contents, best avoid the caves.
The insides of the cave is beautifully designed. Straight ahead there’s a shower place for male and female, complete with the animation. Right below the shower is a pool, like a natural spring water with calming soothing waterfall sounds coupled with shower sounds. At the left of the cave entrance there’s a beautiful Roman bath themed pool side for relaxation, conversation as well as massages. There are of course areas meant for couples only. Basically this cave is great for relaxation as well as for couples looking for some privacy in a rather public area. Of course the beach is more public but the cave is public area so there is a possibility that one can walk into a couple in action. But usually the cave is quiet and unoccupied. There is also a very secluded area at the top of the cave, on top of the lighthouse where I found a hammock facing the waterfall and with the sea as a bigger view. It is actually a sex bed but why should it stop me from posing a few poses? The waterfall sounds great and since hardly anyone knows of this hammock, it is a perfect getaway for singletons and yes, couples.

However the cave can be quite intimidating when there are a lot of people in it, since many may wrongly assume why you are in the cave in the first place. So the next best area that is quiet and could allow you some moments of solitude is the floating float just outside the cave for some reading time.

Further up not far from the cave you will find a small island. Small does not adequately describe it since it has a small mat, hammock and bar surrounded by the sea. What is great about this tiny island is that you can read or relax there without being disturbed. I clicked around and found that by clicking on the pink box in the basket on the picnic mat there is some music that could put anyone in the mood for love. Not good for singletons like myself. Again there’s some reading materials and only on up close do I realise it is a book entitled Kamasutra. I am sure you get the point for the purpose of that tiny island.

There are also private residences on the island. Beware though, once found trespassing you could be kicked out of the island. But that didn’t stop me from taking a few quick pictures.

Anyway I left quickly, not wanting to be banned. Next to the private residences is the small garden area with a lounging area and some really nice gardens. Great for picture moments.

However my favourite place on that island remains to be the beach area. The soothing sounds of the waves is very calming and since the beach area is hardly crowded at all, it can be relaxing as well as meditative. The sunbathing mat and relaxing lounge chair are put to great use here and although I am constantly reminded this is an adult nude beach area, the beautiful and artistic surroundings made me forget that tiny fact. In fact this is perhaps one of the best nude beach or even a beach in Second Life. The artwork is majestic in its effect, more so when it is sunset or sunrise.

Surrounded by the sea and the beach, I couldn’t help but tried to reenact the famous scene from Casino Royale, but to very little effect. I must say though, the swimsuit was nice.

Even from underwater the view above looks interestingly like some great artiste has painted on it. Simply beautiful.

For whatever reason you may wish to visit Skinny Dip Inn & Nude Beach Resort, whether for simple pleasures of relaxation and meditation or even for those adult activities that I do not feel a need to elaborate, it has a little for everyone. What you won’t find is camping areas though but for someone like myself who is constantly looking for something positive, wholesome and picturesque art in motion type of area, this place is it.
This is a must visit and believe me, walking around naked is totally liberating, more so when you are sunbathing by the sea with the soothing sounds of the waves crashing onto to the beach floor and fishes swimming around, what more can one ask for from a beach, even if it is a nude beach?
What more indeed.

Pros
Great sounds, beautiful surroundings, huge areas from the more public ones to a more private ones and many types of pose balls.
